I believe I kick ass when it comes to SEO. For those of you who do not know; SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It referst to the practice of optimizing your website so that it ranks highly on search engines. Some companies pay big money to have this kind of service done for them. I believe they should just hire me. Why am I so confident of my elite SEO skills? Take this example. Go to google (or MSN) and type in ‘feedburner readers’. As of 8/17/2006; my site was the 2nd result.

I am a big time fan of Picasa. It is the free photo organizer software by Google. If you do not use it; definitely check it out. Now they have even included a option to upload pictures to a web gallery from within Picasa; which is very neatly integrated. Anyways; today Google purchased Neven Vision; which makes facial recognition software. The official Google blog just talked about it today. They are going to be adding this awesome technology to Picasa in the near future. Imagine searching through your pictures by just typing in the name of the person who is in the picture.. that will be awesome!

Competition is good. A few months ago; Google introduced Google Finance . It was nothing earth shattering; but yet another service by Google. Yahoo! already had a very highkly trafficed finance website; but that had not been updated in years. As soon as Google came up with their; Yahoo! got really afraid. They went into overdrive and introduced a bunch of new features on their site. One of the coolest ones was Yahoo Badges. This allows you to add stock quotes to your website. You can chooes from a list of predefined templates and it generates the html code for you to place on your site. Can you try to find the one I posted on this site?
