This has to be the most bizarre tech news that I have read in a while. According to Forbes magazine, Steve Jobs is in talks with 50-cent to launch a hip-hop branded Mac for the inner city youth. Is there something 50 cent hasn’t marketed yet? From a usb watch, mineral water, energy drinks, video games.. this guy is just all over the place. Anyways; it looks like Bono (from U2) isn’t Steve’s favorite musician anymore. How long until we see Steve become a part of the G-Unit?

In case you guys did not know by now; I am a big fan of the mac mini. I have written numerous times about it on this site (use the search feature). One of the features that makes Mac mini so popular is its size. It is so portable that you can put it anywhere without it taking up any extra room in your workspace. But what is it lacking to be a truly portable machine? Well, a screen of course. You can get yourself a laptop; but whats the fun in that. Everyone has a laptop; but no one really has a mac mini portable. video after the jump.

It has been a while since I posted about the gadget of my dreams.. yup you guessed it: The mac mini. I have written about it almost weekly how much I want one and how it would be ‘cool’ to have it hooked up to my Pansonic plasma tv. I think the main reason I am still waiting is for Apple to add some sort of a PVR (think TIVO) functionality to it. Anyways; until then check out this very cool picture a someone’s setup with their mac mini. Obviosuly this guy lives alone; because there is no way this meets the WAF (Wife approval Factor :))

This is another sign of how popular the Apple iPod is becoming. Over the years, any type of gadget that can have iPod plugged into has been thought up of. Or so I thought.. I do not think that there has been a single other gadget that has had as much influence that the iPod has had. This one device has led to so many other people innovating to get on board and catch a piece of its success.

A few months ago I wrote about the Worlds smallest PC that was being manufactured by a Japanese company called Shimafuji. That one was a pretty cool concept; but not very practical at all due to its miniscule size. You would proably be losing that so easily if you had placed it on your desk. Now there is one more small PC that is being produced in Japan called the Mini PC . This one is much more suited for everyday use. It is even smaller than the Mac Mini. I think this new line of small computers (partly inspired by the Mac Mini) is going to do really well once the computers start moving into our living rooms.
