vista Hosted on ZooomrYouTube videos in Google Video results
I noticed something very interesting this morning. Google has started showing YouTube results in its google video searches. If you search for a video at video.google.com; you will notice that the results contains videos from both Google and YouTube. As of now; there is no distinct way to tell if a video result if from Google or YouTube; other than by looking at the URL.
I guess the Google YouTube partnership is finally bearing fruit for the consumers.

Performancing shuts down
My favorite Blog tracking company, Performancing, announced that it was shutting down today. Just a few weeks ago; they were in the process of being bought out; and now they are just shutting down. What a turn of events. I really used to like their ‘metrics’ program; but now I guess I have to install google analytics to measure the stats. That is what I am using for SaddeGeet; and that works pretty well also. Anyways; good luck to those guys over at performancing. They were a really helpful bunch!

Google search for SaddeGeet
Last night; I implemented ‘Google Search’ on SaddeGeet. It was pretty easy to do. All I had to do was chose a few options and put a few lines of javascript on the page. The only trouble I had was that I had to widen the default layout of the site to accommodate the search results. I had a width set of 750px; so I just moved it up to 800px. Should be fine for anyone other than someone using a 15inch monitor I guess. Anyways; check it out and let me know what you think

One more reason to love Firefox
I love Firefox. Earlier; it used to be the ‘tabs’ that got my attention. But now a days; every browser has tabs (even Internet Explorer). So ‘tabs’ is not the only reason that keeps me hooked on Firefox. It is so much more. For example; in Firefox 2.0; there is even a built in spell checker which comes in very handy while composing emails. My favorite feature of late has been ‘keywords’. Let me explain. You can assign keyboard shortcuts to your bookmarks. For example; I have ’sg’ mapped to saddegeet.com. So if I type in ’sg’ in the address bar and hit enter; it goes to the SaddeGeet main page. I have ’sgn’ for the SaddeGeet’ Newest Videos page. Intrigued yet? Here is how to do it on your machine..

Go Colts
Last night, I saw one of the most exciting football games I have seen in a while. The Colts took on the Patriots and won 38-34. I have to admit; when they were down 21-3; it was very disheartening to watch another Colts meltdown at home. But not this time; Manning finally got the monkey off his back and led his team to the Superbowl. I can not wait to see the Colts vs Da Bears. Offense vs Defense. Should be a great game!!
