What is the ‘SaddeGeet effect’?? Well; that is the reason that I have not been updating my blog. I have been spending most of my free time managing SaddeGeet.com. SaddeGeet is a punjabi word that means ‘Our Songs’. I started the site about 3 months ago; and it has been pretty popular. I am getting about 1000 visitors a day and so far the reaction has been amazing. The site has done very very well in the past 3 months; way beyond my wildest imaginations. I am glad that I was able to share my love of Punjabi Music with others.
Last night I spent about 30 minutes clearing up my google reader backlog. I have been too busy to catch up on all the feeds that I have subscribed to in google reader. When I logged in last night; google pointed out that there were 100+ articles that were ‘unread’. It was nice enough to list an actual count. Anyways; I am happy to report that as of now; the counter is back to 0. I also removed a few feeds that I don’t particularly care for right now. Lets see how long I can keep the counter at 0. The influx of information is just what I want though..
The holiday season is upon us and if you are like me; you probably have not done most of your Christmas shopping. Well, dont worry. There is still time :). You can still wait a few days before ordering stuff; but if you are buying online… you should buy right away. If you want your gifts by December 22 from Amazon; today is the last day to shop if you want to use the free shipping option. And if you are buying from Amazon; don’t forget to check out CouponChief.com for some great amazon coupons.
I just saw the most exciting quarter of football that i have seen in a while. I was watching the Giants vs Eagles game on TV and the 4th quarter had me glued to the TV. It was just such a fun game to watch. The two teams were fighting for their playoff lives; and you know they were not going to go down quietly. Brian Dawkins, Eagle’s defensive player, was just a beast out there. He had 1 int and 2 forced fumbles. Jeff Garcia continues his hot play of late and he has the Eagles in the thick of the playoff hunt. At least something is going right in the city of Philadelphia when it comes to sports… good stuff!!
We all can use some advice when it comes to money time from time. Finances is one area in life that no matter how much you know; there is always more to learn. You can never learn enough; it is an evoloving field. There are so many opportunities out there for you to take advantage off. I found a good site on the web today that does a good job of explaining a lot of these complex areas of money management. The site, The Thrifty Scot, offers advice on how to save money using credit cards, secured loans, mortgages, saving accounts and home insurance. For someone who is new to personal finance; it is a great resource to learn.
