Payperpost and Techcrunch
Payperpost, the guys behind a paid blogging, seem to be in hot water again. They are getting a lot of negative reaction from the established blogging community. Everyone from Scoble to TechCrunch are really hating on them. These big name bloggers do not realize how difficult it is for a small blog to monetize. I have had adsense on this blog for about 5 months and have make about $10/month. That compared to what these guys are brining in is very absurb. It is just very difficult for a small blogger to establish himself. And if Payperpost is offering them a chance to make some extra money from the blog; what is the harm. Anyways; thats my 2 cents. I think payperpost should be allowed to stay as it is; and people should just chill out a little. What do you guys think?
Well if nothing else PPP must love the free advertising on a highly rated website. Even if one in one hundred of the visitors that come from techcruch sign up with PPP then they must get a rush of new sign ups and don’t even have to pay for the advertising.
Oh and i think you might have just made $10 from PPP - nice work!
Cool. I signed up just to see what the fuss was about. I do have a blog or two that wouldn’t suffer if random crap was thrown into it.
My take is that anyone who is commercially blogging is already writing for sponsors, just in a more indirect way. I imagine that savvy readers will quickly learn to discern the difference while everyone else simply won’t care.
If the post is not interesting, it will be a link, but not generate much interest. So what! People always bitch about things and it’s probably here to stay…
