Day 2 with Kubuntu - Akregator

Ever since I started this site; I have developed interest in many other blogs. I try to read through them all (about 40) atleast once a day. As you can get; this gets very cumbersome to do via a web browser. First you have to load each site; wait for it to load, spend 5 seconds there to realize that it has not been updated, and then load another url. As you can guess; this is not a very efficient process at all. This is where RSS feeds come in.

Ofcourse a RSS feed is useless unless you have a RSS reader. :) Kubuntu, which is basically a KDE port of Ubuntu, comes with Akregator. It was my first time using it; but the interface is so darn inutivie that I was up and running within minutes. As you can see from the image below; it sorta looks like your typical Email client. Each feed that has been updated shows up as bold and tells you how many posts there are that have not been read. This is just such a cool way to keep up with the WWW!
