I think if you have a high traffic site; those kind of figures are entirely possible. The key is to build up the traffic. I used to be like you as well; never clicking on any adsense ads. But ever since I Put them on my site; I do click on a few at someone's site if I find something interesting. It doesn't cost me anything; so why not.
