What are people searching for
I am a fairly new website owner. I have had this site up for just about 2 months now. One of the amusing things I do is to watch the access logs of the site to see how people are finding their way here. Most of the visitors that are coming in are from the search engines (Google,Yahoo,MSN). The most popular query that gets them here is Kulwinder Dhillon dead . My site is listed fairly high in all 3 major engines for that particular query. But there are also some unexpected queries that land people on this page. So today I was looking through the logs, while having my evening cup of tea, and found a couple queries that were pretty weird. The first one was ‘food poisoining + 2005′ and it was typed into MSN. At first thought; I could not imagine that leading to any page on this site. I didn’t think I had any page that had anything to do with food poisoning. Plus ‘poisoining’ is spelt wrong. So I typed in the query into msn and Look what I found .
So first of all I’m a bit embarrassed that I failed to run a simple spell check. And secondly; this gives me a little insight into how much more MSN has to do in catching up to Google. But I guess I can’t complain; any traffic is good traffic right?
[...] As I posted earlier , it is interesting to see how people come to this site via the various search engines. Today I was looking through the logs and found this little gem. Apparently; I am the authority on automated taco bell ordering systems. Try this search query and see how you end up on this blog. Yo Quiero Taco Bell. [...]
