Apple allows XP on Macs
Apple today announced a new software package that allows users of the new Intel Macs to run Windows XP on their computers. Its called BootCamp Too bad they could have made $13,000 if they had came up with this about a month ago, as part of a contest hosted by onMac ![]()
[...] The big news of yesterday was the introduction of Bootcamp , a package from Apple that allows Mac computers to run Windows XP. Lost in the mix of all that was the fact that apple also upgraded the firmware. By doing this; it allows the new intel macs to boot from a variety of Operating Systems. I wrote a while ago about my experiences with the Kubuntu LIVE CD . It turns out that now it is possible to boot Ubuntu (which automatically means Kubuntu also) on the new Mac Mini. That is so cool!
