Weird Google behavior (Kulwinder Dhillon)
I just noticed very odd behavior today on my website. For about a week; I was getting 100+ hits on my blog due to my post about Kulwinder Dhillon’s death. Kulwinder Dhillon was a good Punjabi singer who died in a car accident in Punjab. He mainly sang religious and Folk songs. I guess I was one of the first few people to post on the web about this piece of news and Google picked up on it pretty quick. For the past few days; I was #1 or #2 in the google ranking whenever you searched for the following queries:
-
Kulwinder Dhillon death
-
Is Kulwinder dhillon dead
-
Death of Kulwinder dhillon
The queries were coming from all over the world: Canada, UK, NewZealand, Austrlia etc. Today, however I noticed something very strange. If you type in the same queries; my site was nowhere to be found. Even more, If I try to limit the search to my site by typing in the following query: “Kulwinder site:jatshergill.com”; the search results are empty. I am kinda puzzled by this. What would cause my site to be just delisted like that?
If I type in ’site:jatshergill.com’; I can see all the other pages that are indexed. Does anyone have any insight into this; other than “Google does not like you”.
Edited: This site is back to #1 on google again. (April 1,2006)
Don’t worry, wait for a week or two, may be a month. Pages will show up eventually. It’s called the Google Dance.
I don’t like you
I dont like you either Mr: tide18.microsoft.com
Quite funny actually… I like the look of your blog. (Though this comment should go on your more recent post).
Whats even more funny is that anytime I post about any Google stuff; he comes out and posts about it. Actually; he is a friend of mine who is just bitter about Google I guess
You made Google mad, so we took your site off.
something fishy (actually yes, something is, maybe personal)
